Job Description

Senior UI/UX Developer (Poland/Hungary)

Company overview

Our client is a fast-growing business advisory and technology firm working at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, data science, and digital transformation. They partner with global enterprise clients—especially in life sciences—to deliver AI-driven solutions that improve commercial operations, accelerate insight generation, and strengthen decision-making.

With established delivery centers across multiple international locations and a growing European presence, they are expanding their team in Poland and Hungary to support the scale-up of AI-powered platforms and digital products.

Role overview

They are hiring a Senior UI/UX Developer to lead end-to-end user experience work—spanning research, interaction design, and high-fidelity UI execution—for complex, data-driven enterprise applications. You will shape how users navigate dashboards, analytics tools, and workflow-heavy products, ensuring experiences are intuitive, accessible, consistent, and aligned with product and business goals. This role requires strong UX judgment, practical design-system thinking, and the ability to work closely with product, engineering, and data teams to deliver designs that can be implemented cleanly and accurately.

Location: Remote, must be based in Poland or Hungary

Team: Cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and data teams across multiple geographies.

Key responsibilities

UX & interaction design

  • Lead UX research activities (user interviews, usability testing, persona development, journey mapping).
  • Translate business and analytical requirements into clear user flows, information architecture, and interaction models.
  • Design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups aligned with product strategy and user needs.
  • Ensure consistency and usability across product touchpoints and workflows.

UI design & design systems

  • Create high-quality UI designs aligned with brand and enterprise standards.
  • Build and maintain scalable design systems, component libraries, and documentation (tokens, patterns, style guides).
  • Ensure responsive design across devices and adherence to accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Partner with frontend engineers to ensure accurate, implementation-ready design specs.

Collaboration & implementation support

  • Work closely with Product Managers, Frontend Developers, Data/Analytics teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, refinement, retrospectives) and design reviews.
  • Support implementation through clear handoff artifacts and ongoing collaboration (specs, annotations, acceptance criteria).
  • Improve design-to-development workflows and consistency across releases.

Usability, quality & continuous improvement

  • Conduct usability testing and analyze qualitative and quantitative feedback to iteratively improve the experience.
  • Advocate for user-centered decisions using evidence, data, and clear rationale.
  • Review and refine existing interfaces for usability, performance perception, and accessibility.
  • Stay current on UI/UX tools, patterns, and best practices, applying what’s useful—not what’s trendy.

Qualifications & experience

  • 6–10 years of experience in UI/UX design (and close collaboration with development) for web or enterprise products.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX process and high-quality UI outcomes.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Solid grounding in UX research methods, interaction design, and information architecture.
  • Experience with complex, data-intensive products (dashboards/analytics/workflows) is a strong advantage.
  • Working knowledge of frontend fundamentals (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with engineering.
  • Experience in Agile / Scrum environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

Key skills & attributes

  • User-centric mindset: Strong empathy and focus on clarity, usability, and adoption.
  • Design excellence: Balances clean aesthetics with enterprise functionality and constraints.
  • Systems thinking: Builds scalable patterns and reusable components.
  • Collaboration: Communicates clearly across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Attention to detail: Consistency, accessibility, and quality are non-negotiable.
  • Problem-solving: Turns complexity into simple, usable experiences.
  • Ownership: Takes responsibility for UX quality from discovery to release.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable in fast-moving, evolving product and consulting environments.

What they offer

  • Work on enterprise-scale AI, analytics, and GenAI-driven platforms.
  • Exposure to international clients and highly complex product environments.
  • A collaborative, delivery-focused culture with strong ownership.
  • Growth path into UX leadership, design management, or senior product design roles.
  • Competitive compensation with performance incentives and learning support.
