Job Description

Our client is a unique startup with a clear mission to harness the power of artificial intelligence for the visually impaired. They created an innovative, smart and wearable device with an intuitive interface to enhance the daily lives of people. They are looking for Area Sales Managers in the following areas:

1) Texas
2) Boston MA covering Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont.
3) Nashville TN covering Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas
4) Tampa or Orlando covering FL and Puerto Rico
5) Seattle WA covering Washington, South Dakota, Oregon, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Alaska
6) Phoenix covering Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah
7) Detroit MI covering Indiana & Michigan 

These are full-time, home-office based, W2 positions with 45-50k guaranteed base + commission.

Requirements
3+ years experience in business development, field sales, customer success and/or marketing
Bachelor’s degree
Excellent people skills including negotiation and people management are essential for success
Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
Self-starter, dependable, must have strong time management skills
Superior customer service and telephone etiquette
Must be comfortable working with people with special needs
Connection with the community and experience in the low vision industry are a plus
Must be comfortable working out of home office with little supervision
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle as needed
Ability to travel 30-50%
Technologically savvy with advanced Microsoft office skills
Previous experience with Sales Force or another CRM is a plus

Responsibilities:
Drive business development and sales of products
Manage relationships with distributors, including resellers, government agencies, low vision organizations, clinics and direct reps
Promote awareness in the low vision eco-system by working with assistive technology agencies and community organizations
Present and demonstrate to organizations and potential users
Collaborate on marketing activities and participate in events and trade shows
Generate leads for distributors
Promptly and persistently handle incoming leads
Provide training on the use of the device, its benefits and its differentiated value for users and organizations
Write and submit detailed reports and update CRM
Achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales quota as assigned
