Regional Sales Manager - Telematics

Location: Based anywhere in USA.

 

Our client is an established and innovative engineering and manufacturing company specializing in mobile data terminals for mission critical telematics markets. We have a need for a full-time Regional Sales Manager to manage strategic accounts within North America.

Responsibilities:

  • Individual sales contributor covering portions of the North American market with room for global growth.
  • Develop sales forecast and report accurately on progress against quota on a weekly basis.
  • Articulate customer technical and business requirements and apply the appropriate solution.
  • Engage customers at the operational and technical executive levels (COO, CIO, CFO).
  • Required travel 50% of the time to visit customers and attend tradeshows.

Skills & experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred
  • 10+ yrs in outside sales with the Telematics industry documented quota responsibilities and achievement in sales with proven track record of closing $1M+ sales opportunities
  • Domain expertise in end-to-end M2M solutions, Device, Mobile communications, Data Management, Fleet and Asset Management Applications
  • Experience selling SaaS/PaaS solutions to Functional, Operational and Technology executives (COO, CIO, CFO)
  • Completed solution selling training course(s) at previous employers and/or with other recognized programs
  • Able to work independently and remotely from other members of the team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of business and to analyze data from multiple sources and systems.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar sales force automation systems.
  • Deep understanding of customer business models and ability to consult and drive behavior to support revenue goals.
