Service and Support Engineer (Medtech)

Location: Tokyo, Japan

Job Description and Details

The Client’s systems are medical devices involving high level Electronics and Robotics with Computerized control. The role includes responsibilities as

  • Technically supporting the company’s systems at clinical sites in Japan. Perform system installations at new sites in Japan. Preventive maintenance and repairs of existing systems. System troubleshooting and diagnosis of source of failures. Failure, maintenance and service reporting.


Job Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Electrical, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering, or Medical Physics.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in field service for complicated medical system
  • Good mechanical capabilities- “Hands on” character.
  • Good electronics knowledge.
  • Experience in Computer controlled systems.
  • Advantage: Current MR service knowledge; preferably GE
  • Organized, structured, capable working independently
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Travel 60 – 80%, mostly Japan. Some international travels.Working hours second and third shift.
