Our client is a fast-growing US startup providing location-based services across several industries. Due to their expanding customer base in Europe, they are looking for a talented and motivated senior team member.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring European customers’ needs are met by coordinating and communicating with the product, ops and engineering teams internally. This is a key position within the company and this candidate will be the face of the company overseas.

This position initially requires up to 40% travel.  In addition to meeting with and facilitating delivery of products to customers, there will be some operational oversight of IT project deployments. Technical background and experience is required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years experience in a technical sales or IT consulting role
  • 5+ years interfacing directly with customers in large organizations in a presales and post-sales capacity
  • Experience in an operational and/or project management role; hands-on attitude
  • Hands-on understanding of IT systems, databases, and web technologies
  • Experience in fast-paced startup environment is desired; ability to define what is needed for success is a must
  • Strong communication and writing skills in fluent English.
  • Upbeat personality and a get-it-done attitude
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in relevant technical field
  • Compensation based on experience; meaningful stock options; Full-time position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain customer relationships across Europe; meet regularly with customers to brief on roadmap and product/service availability; ensure customers feel supported and innovative
  • Provide technical consulting regarding products and how they benefit the customer and fit into their enterprise
  • Communicate customer feedback and requirements to Product and Engineering teams for incorporation into product roadmap
  • Perform project management function between internal and external stakeholders, managing timelines and expectations
  • Stay apprised of potential sales opportunities and draft associated proposals
  • Assist in the scope, sizing, and schedule management of projects and associated tasks.
  • Some oversight of onsite software and hardware deployment, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate engineering and support needs to internal development team, located locally and across other timezones
