Our client is a global energy / oil & gas  sector multinational US -based company having several IT development and support center offices in Hungary. They are extending their BI team by looking for administrators (3) and junior supoprt consultants (2) in order to work and provide the following services:

Tools / Technology
  • Oracle BIEE – BIP platform
L1 Support
  • Providing a single point of entry for end-user issues: analyzing the problem.  
  • Resolve approx. 70-100 annual incidents and user requests
  • Manage the end user communication ensuring a timely notice for outages
  • Partner with OMS (Oracle Managed Support team) support to ensure BI solution farm performance and availability ensuring a good prioritization of the activities to meet business requirements.
  • With the support manager tracking relevant metrics and KPI to monitor the level of services
  • Application Support and rarely small enhancements (L2) and drive the resolution involving the relevant teams and system unavailability as well as any other event impacting user experience
Core Competencies and Deliverables
  • Manage administrative tasks for the Oracle BI environment.
  • Access management and user authorization tasks (during L1 support).
  • Performance monitoring and fine tuning, environment inhancements and check.
  • Co-ordinate patch upgrades, bug fixes and other product support issues / escalations with Oracle
  • Co-ordinate Application testing and Verification during database upgrades, server upgrades

     Other task to build further career and experience level:

  • Participating in Oracle BIEE project during development, UAT.
  • Monitor system health in terms of growth, usage and performance in DEV, QA, PROD instances and provide monthly statistics.
  • Co-ordinate with other support teams (ETL, DB, BI project teams) to effectively resolve application issues impacting the servers.
  • Follow and advocate ITIL processes for Incidents, Problems, Change Requests and Service Requests. 
  • Maintain communication with User community (updates, notifications etc.)
Must Have Skills                                                                     
  • Junior level experience of Oracle BI EE Administration and possibly system architecture
  • Hands-On experience of Oracle Database (SQL, PLSQL)
  • Very good communication skills in English
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to foresee critical issues and own resolution
Advantages/Nice to have skills:
  • Oracle Exadata exprience is a plus 
  • Knowledge of Predix/ Cloud Concepts
  • General understanding of other BI technologies such as Reporting and Data Integration tools
